The Titan goddess Leto went to great lengths to give birth to her children, Apollo and Artemis. Zeus was the father, and as with many Greek myths Hera was enraged by this. She chased Leto night and day preventing her any rest until Leto took refuge in the floating island of Delos. Later after she would be able to give birth to her children. She was the goddess of childbirth.
