Esthaem (b. 1992) is a photographic artist and fashion photographer based in Linz, Austria. He holds a BA in Graphic-Design and Photography from the University of Art and Design Linz and is currently working on obtaining his MA in Visual Communications. His works have been featured in group exhibitions in places like London, Berlin, Singapore and Vienna as well as numerous online and print publications.
Drawn to nature, life itself and the human body, he uses the latter and treats it as a sculptural object, allowing him to explore topics such as identity, intimacy, (de-)construction of sexuality, gender as well as the self through his photographic work. He wanders along the narrow path of theory and its discourses, photography as art and his personal point of view, all while maintaining a distinct photographic vision which is often being referred to as „visual poetry“. His images are a mirror of his own constructed reality, portraits of difficult to grasp subject matters that aim to translate his analysis of the world into aesthetically pleasing imagery full of fragile moments, sensuality and symbolism.
