Glad i have to go by bank Monday. Want to ask when they installed the features in photo below into the ATM. i think they're fairly new as i'm generally an observant person but the last few times i've gone to bank i went inside instead of using ATM. In a news video about the new $20 bill i saw that new bills will have braille features. When i first saw the larger notice just below the ear jack my first thought was...Why? If vision that impaired how would you read the sign to do it...then i noticed the raised braille letters on it. (see second photo).
Elevators have long had braille numbers. Tho in 1970 when i lived and worked in NYC they didn't. i had a co-worker who was blind and worked as a transcriptionist working from audio recordings. Usually she was coming going when it was busy enough she could simply ask others in the elevator car if the floor she needed had been pushed. She was one of the first Buddhists i ever met, and wonderfully independent but realistic about when she needed an assist. Had not thought of her in many years, till i saw this.
