Arne Jacobsen designed many different chairs made of stained wood which still have a self confident
character despite the normal function.
In 1968 the 3108, Lily, was introduced. Fritz Hansen is the manufacturer of this unique beautiful chair.
Lily was originally developed in 1968 for the National Bank in Denmark.
The curvy form with its characteristically broad shoulders and slim waist is a wonderful example to see how designer Arne Jacobsen steadily pushed on the development and possibilities of processing veneer.
The seating height depends on the model:
without armrests the seating height is 46,5 cm.
with armrests the seating height is 44 cm.
Fritz Hansen Lily Chair is stackable only without armrests. The frame is always chrome.
