Today I received a disturbing email that I want to tell others about in the jewelry community. It was shocking to say the least. I usually see misinformation online, on social media, even on supposed ‘informational’ websites. My jaded face has grown as dark as the dark side of the moon. I scroll by a lot of things that I feel would lead friends astray; I am sorry. It is not that I do not care, I promise I do, it is because of how much it has become normal. I have said before how I see “metaphysical” properties of a stone that are completely false; just to note that many websites have copied and paste the same info everywhere. I have met many who believe there is no harm done because they don’t believe in these types of energies.
Over the years I have posted books and places to find real info but it seems to not even dent the problem. I know a lot of crystal workers and jewelry makers have ran into the same issues.
Today I received an email from a company claiming to have done extensive research in the field of symbolic language or what they called ‘influence of jewelry’. They claimed to have researched over 20 languages of historical info! I was excited to read up on this group! They even offered a free info meme about directions of jewelry and specifics of metals that influence the energies around us! As I researched further I was completely grossed out to say the least. This company is offering info for donation and the info is far from the makings of anything factual. It has bogus claims about metal energies and worse condems body piercing except ear lobes. They do go on to talk about the direction of wearing rings ‘if you aren’t married’ OMG! Completely bogus. Jewelry shop owner friends, please keep an eye out for this email, and let your friends know it is absolutely no good. Because of this I am going to start up the series #LanguageAndDirectionsOfAdornments again to help fight against this. I usually do not go on blast… pretty much never… but I don’t want anyone falling for this. Setting aside a scared piece their soul needs/loves or thinking they can’t have piercings or wear specific metals. Many blessings makers and wearers alike.
