So, I'm thinking about the upcoming Jurassic World and how bloody TERRIBLE it's going to be (genetically modified dinosaurs with snake and cuttlefish DNA) and I realized that I've already watched the best Jurassic Park sequel ever, and it was an Australian documentary about cane toads. Back in the late 30's. Australia imported 105 cane toads to fight a crop infestation. These 105 cane toads have reproduced into an invading army of over 1.5 billion cane toads, the local fauna can't cope with them (they're highly toxic, so when a local animal eats one it dies) and they're ravaging the ecosystem.
So how is this a perfect Jurassic Park sequel? Well, if one of Earth's major industrialized nations can't stop a bunch of toads from becoming an ecological catastrophe, imagine if we replaced the toads with dinosaurs? Boom! There's your Jurassic Park sequel.
