How Does a Toilet Work!
Everyone uses a toilet. We see that every day! But do we know how they work? We push the button, and the water fills up the bowl before emptying down the drain. But then what happens?
The most common toilet works off a siphon system with a cistern on the top of the bowl. When you push the cistern button, the plunger in the cistern lifts and lets the water in the cistern flow around the top inside of the toilet bowl — creating the Venturi system. The top of the toilet bowl is big, but it gets smaller towards the bottom. What happens as the water starts through the large section of the pan it has to go faster as the hole gets smaller to keep the volume going through, it creates a suction that empties the waste and the toilet paper into the drainage system.
Built into the toilet is a section called the trap. The trap keeps a small amount of water in the toilet so that no sewer odours can flow back up through the toilet and into the bathroom.
Toilets are hygienic, so it is essential to make sure your toilet works well and is free from blockages. King Plumbing can help you with any toilet issue you are having. Life without a toilet is not something you want to have.
