In my laser cutting research I stumbled upon vinyl cut art work and decided this would be a great gift to my empty room and my friends! The vinyl material is great for mandala work and other tiny intricate details which I honed in on my final 2 sketches. After sketching out ideas however I need to revisit the first sketch I had drawn. I have one record that has lips on the center label which is perfect on a pair of headphones for the girl I had drawn. I'd like to go with cutting out the second girl since it fits the clock theme better. The mandala was just an experimentation with the technique. I don't do mandalas, but it was worth checking it out. I have bought 12 records for a dollar each and plan on making sure I master cutting it right. Once I feel confident enough to go for a final piece I'm hoping I could use a secondary colored vinyl to add more values to the piece I go with. Once I have the final cut I can install the clockwork mechanism I ordered on amazon and just fix it in! I hope this goes well.
