We live in a system which finds convenient to raise insecure people. In Italy one person out of ten suffers or have suffered of Depressive Disorder. I’m one of them. As I started psychoanaltical therapy, everything went better, but yet I can’t say I will ever win this disease. I chase to build my University’s final project around Depression. This theme isn’t addressed properly in Western society, nor fought effectively. Every portrait is a self-portrait. Sometimes I find myself painting a self-portrait as a confused entity.
Cyril Phan was born in Toulouse, in 1969, of a French mother and a Vietnamese father. His childhood was spent first in Vietnam, then in the South of France. At 14, he moved with his mother to Brazzaville, in the Democratic Republic of Congo—hence his signature, Kongo. Four years later he returned to France, where he settled in the greater Paris area, despite living and working between Paris, Hong Kong and Guadeloupe. The same diverse cultural influences that helped forge his identity and artistic style have made him a man at ease on every continent.

Oil, spray paint, watercolor, whatever I can get my hands on and get messy with. 3D modeling for fun, working on my skills in digital painting and illustration, and refining my editing skills with adobe are all on my list of to do's this year. Big switch from traditional to digital media focus in my overall career goals

A poor poet, an ok writer, a not too bad drawer, and a pretty good photographer. You are more likely to see the first than the last. Mainly because this is a poetry blog.
•A writer is the sum of all their experiences•
•A photographer sees the world through different perspectives•
•99% of the time I spend 45 minutes organizing my desk and 15 minutes writing and call it an hour of work; 1% of the time I manage get my shit together and make art. And that's all I need to be happy

Those beautiful lips would implore a kiss but as he bent forward the pool would always betray him. He plunges his arms in the water to clasp that ivory neck and he finds himself clutching at no one.

I write poetry of images and Light, I'm a witch of Hope, a fighter of lost causes, a giver of Empathy and Love+gratitude.A good listener for anyone who needs to be heard and seen.A Human Heart.
And I can't live without writing, reading, learning and connecting to other like minded companions in spite of being a loner/introvert/hypersensitive dealing with anxiety disorder and fighting it every day.
I love being solo but still dreaming to find my partner in crime one day because I still believe in True Love.
