The artist’s research is driven by continuous development of themselves and her own curiosity
within the unconscious and
personal space. Each work can certainly be recognized as the final stage of a concept before intuited and later expressed
through pictorial method.
The artist uses the visual
language as a form of symbolic and conceptual communication.
Darkness, symbolism and transmutation are the elements that characterize the art of Federica Poletti.
The main subjects of his works, disturbing archetypal figures
and ominous, arise from the
contamination between the
intimate unconscious and the grim reality that sometimes creeps into the daily life of
each of us.
Characters constantly poised between melancholy and sin,
anger and submission
(undisputed symbols of inner discomfort that often afflicts man in society), the protagonists of Poletti works inhabit a flat world by almost monochromatic
colors, sometimes enriched by the presence of a few rich tones tended to emphasize,
so aggressive but at the same time poetic, the anxiety of the subjects; charges figures of energy empathic capable of breaking down the wall of the two-dimensionality of painting, creating a deep and distressing message overlooking impetuous by these images, like a punch in the stomach to the reality that lurks beneath the surface, its true face.
And it is with a kaleidoscope of creativity and art that Federica
Poletti breaks the mask of man-made reality in search of his true appearance.
Dissecting human nature Poletti is an improvised “anatomist soul” in an attempt to lay bare the spirit, freeing man from his frustrations, freeing him from his desires so by the bond of the remains, but for which preserves the organs, the bones, the structures, which it uses to create new geometries, anatomical diagrams from esoteric
tastes, bizarre and experimental, capable of exorcising the real and elevate it to a new sacred dimension.
