Got the chance to test the new Fujifilm X-T3 camera with the new Atomos Ninja V fieldrecorder.
Fuji's first 4K-DCI filmcamera since many years. This is a APC sized sensor delivering 4K full DCI in 10 bits 4:2:2 with fenomenal color science by Fuji that costs around US$1,450.
It's quality and performance are absolutely beyond expectation and it matches fine (and even performs better on some points) with the Red Epic MX and the Arri Alexa Mini.
Great dynamic range and (beacuse of the lack of a lowpass filter (OLPF)) you'll get BAGS of fine detail, very very beatiful and exciting for this kind of budget! Very good low light performance.
Yep, you've read that right - comparing a $60k camera to a $2,000 camera setup...
Imagine kitting this camera out with $8,000 of gear - like Matthew Libatique - you still have a sub-10K camera that challlenges the big boys.
