Game No. 065 — June 14, 2017
After starter Brian Johnson, called up from Triple-A to fill in for Eduardo Rodríguez, left the game early with an injury, Johnson’s PawSox teammate Hector Velázquez took over on the mound, earning his first major league win. Mookie Betts went 4-for-5 for the second time against the Phillies, this time belting two home runs, to help lift his team to victory.
For every Red Sox game this season, we will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red.
