Game No. 050 — May 29, 2017
After a lengthy rehab for an injury sustained during spring training, Sox ace David Price made his season debut Monday afternoon in Chicago, throwing five solid innings and giving up just three runs on a home run in the third. Despite a substantial effort, Boston’s offense couldn’t score past the fifth inning, ultimately falling just short of the win.
For every Red Sox game this season, we will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red.
