Game No. 141 — September 8, 2017
Chris Archer just can’t catch a break against the Red Sox. Friday night’s outing yielded nine hits and eight runs for the Tampa Bay starter on his way to his ninth loss of the season. Drew Pomeranz on the other hand, allowed only two hits in six innings while the Sox offense racked up nine runs on twelve hits, including at least one hit from nearly every starter.
For every Red Sox game this season, we will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red. Follow the whole project here or get weekly recaps in your inbox.
We'll be publishing the entire season's worth of visualizations in a 6x9-inch, softcover, perfect-bound book! Preorder at foredesign.co/soxscores.
