Game No, 025 — May 1, 2017
There’s not a nice way to say it: Monday night’s game was a disaster. The Sox committed four errors, three of which occurred with two outs in the eighth inning, leading to three Orioles runs that would put the game out of reach for the home team. When the Sox looked like they were mounting another late-inning comeback, a base running blunder by Hanley Ramírez led to an unnecessary out and stymied the team’s momentum.
For every Red Sox game this season, we will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red.
