It's no secret that we love a good map so we thought it would be a fun project to create one that showed what Boston's MBTA might look like if it included everything that didn't exist anymore or had yet to be built.
Included are the original Orange line route, the original Atlantic Ave and Charlestown Elevated railways, downtown stations like Beach Street, Devonshire, Adams Square, and Rowes Wharf, the full Silver line as a rail system, the conversion of the Fairmount commuter rail line to subway, the proposed “urban ring” route, and the proposed Summer Street aerial cable car through the marine industrial park.
