Game No. 138 — September 4, 2017
Three was the magic number for the Blue Jays on Monday night. Ace J.A. Happ walked three, struck out three, and allowed three runs in his team’s routing of the Red Sox at Fenway Park — their third loss in a row. To kick things off, Kendrick Morales hit a three-run homer over the bullpen, with Toronto’s offense adding three more long balls before the game was over.
For every Red Sox game this season, we will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red. Follow the whole project here or get weekly recaps in your inbox.
We'll be publishing the entire season's worth of visualizations in a 6x9-inch, softcover, perfect-bound book! Preorder at foredesign.co/soxscores.
