Game No. 86 — July 6, 2017
Chris Sale continued his impressive season, striking out 12 Rays to become the first Red Sox pitcher to strike out 10 or more batters in 12 games before the All-Star break. The only problem for Sale was Rays’ catcher Wilson Ramos who drove in three of Tampa Bay’s four runs, including a home run, to secure the win for his club.
For every Red Sox game this season, we will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red. Follow the whole project here or get weekly recaps in your inbox.
