Game No. 045 — May 24, 2017
Sox starter Chris Sale fell a little shy of setting a new Major League record for most consecutive games with ten or more strikeouts, fanning just six batters in seven innings of work. Boston’s offense had a strong seventh inning, driving in seven runs to cruise to victory over the visiting Texas Rangers.
For every Red Sox game this season, we will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red.
