Game No. 059 — June 08, 2017
It was David Price’s second game back from an extended stint on the DL and he didn’t fair too well. In his five innings of work, Price gave up six runs to the Yankees, including a pair of home runs to catcher Gary Sánchez. The Red Sox were able to push one run across the plate in the fourth inning but were otherwise stymied, striking out 12 times and stranding seven runners on base.
For every Red Sox game this season, we will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red. Follow the whole project here or get weekly recaps in your inbox.
