Game No. 116 — August 12, 2017
The Red Sox offense went to town on Yankees starter Luis Severino on Saturday afternoon. Future Rookie of the Year Andrew Benintendi launched two home runs into right field, accounting for six of Boston’s ten runs. Drew Pomeranz continued to be a reliable starter for the Sox, pitching into the seventh inning and giving up only three runs to notch his 12th victory of the season.
For every Red Sox game this season, we will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red. Follow the whole project here or get weekly recaps in your inbox.
We'll be publishing the entire season's worth of visualizations in a 6x9-inch, softcover, perfect-bound book! Preorder at foredesign.co/soxscores.
