Game No. 047 — May 26, 2017
A combination of strong pitching and solid defense from the Red Sox kept the Seattle Mariners off the board on Friday night. The only run that Boston would need came in the second when Hanley Ramírez scored on a sacrifice ground ball from Josh Rutledge. A couple more would score in the sixth on a wild pitch and a passed ball as Seattle struggled with the sloppy conditions.
For every Red Sox game this season, we will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red.
