Game No. 140 — September 6, 2017
After the previous night’s marathon, the Sox were happy to close out the series against the Blue Jays in just nine innings. Starter Doug Fister continued his dominance on the mound, fanning nine batters and allowing only one run in seven innings of work. The bottom half of the order did nearly all the work, scoring all but one of Boston’s six runs.
For every Red Sox game this season, we will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red. Follow the whole project here or get weekly recaps in your inbox.
We'll be publishing the entire season's worth of visualizations in a 6x9-inch, softcover, perfect-bound book! Preorder at foredesign.co/soxscores.
