Game No. 119 — August 15, 2017
In a fairly one-sided, inter-league game at Fenway on Tuesday night that saw the first Red Sox triple play in six years, Boston scored eight runs in one inning against the visiting Cardinals. The St. Louis pitching staff looked hopeless against the Sox starting lineup who racked up 15 hits, none of which came from home runs.
For every Red Sox game this season, we will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red. Follow the whole project here or get weekly recaps in your inbox.
We'll be publishing the entire season's worth of visualizations in a 6x9-inch, softcover, perfect-bound book! Preorder at foredesign.co/soxscores.
