One of my favourite location types to photograph are industrial spaces. Be it power plants, steel mills, blast furnaces or giant factories. They are all so far removed from the vistas of our everyday lives that they can seem almost like an alien world when we experience them firsthand. Their huge scale often blows my mind and this cooling tower in central Belgium was no exception.
Attached to a long abandoned power station it has become a very popular 'unofficial attraction' in the area. One of those places you can expect to see other photographers when you go to shoot there. I have been there three times now and have even taken my family to see it.
