A backlit tripod self timer selfie taken inside the main slope shaft leading to a subterranean nuclear fallout shelter built underneath a well known golf course. The story goes it was built at the request of government ministers at the height of The Cold War. They were concerned that a Russian missile launch could come whilst they were playing a round of golf and so a contingency plan was to build a shelter directly beneath the clubhouse. For years I had been aware of the location of this shelter but it had been securely locked. Then came the phone call that it was suddenly accessible and I was there the next night. I love locations with absolutely no light as it's totally down to you how you will light it, a blank canvas. This shot was lit using my fantastic Scurion 1500 lamp.
