This is the Nation's Christmas Tree ... The General Grant. Standing at 267 feet tall, it is one of the world's tallest plants on the planet, but a 1,650 years old ... is not the oldest.
You can find the tree in the Kings Canyon National Park, just outside of Fresno, CA USA.
This picture was taken on February 15, 2015. Notice ... no snow. The Sierra Nevada mountain range serves as Central California's watershed ... from snow melt, we get water almost year-round. However ... we are in yet another drought year.
The tree sits at 6,500 feet in elevation. The snow level stands at above 10,000 feet.
Please, let us pray for more snow ... I have hope ... Winter hasn't finished!
