Spent a couple of hours repairing a friends "Fairphone". She managed to load the "SpiderApp" by dropping it.
This was a real joy to repair!
It's held together with screws and clips, no stupid glue that only releases at a temperature slightly less than the melting point of the rest of the device.
The whole Smartphone is modular and designed to be repairable. You can buy the daughterboard, mainboard, display, camera, loudspeaker etc. separately.
It would be sooo cool if everything was made this way (again - because that used to be the way things were made)!
The display was just 72€, that's 30% cheaper than for my Wiko - which was a real pain to repair.
Ach! I'm so happy mending stuff!
