Oh and no, I'm not really a vegetarian, despite the recipes, I just rarely eat meat.
I really just have a problem with some modern farming methods. Nitrate levels have been steadily rising in the water table for years around the Münsterland and this is largely due to concentrated factory farming of Pork and over fertilizing.
I'm stressed enough by work that I don't need to add any more of those hormones from terrified animals transported for hundreds of kilometers or kept in conditions, that if viewed, would make your stomach turn.
I don't really have a problem eating Game though.
I have noticed some problems with this lifestyle change:
I struggle with my weight at the best of times, the switch has made that worse.
It's more expensive, because factory methods have pushed down meat prices a long long way. (I guess it's not so bad for me as for those on a low income).
Eating out can be a problem - it's not bad in the cities, but out in the sticks vegetarian cooking means leaving out the meat.
