My Aunt Linda loves street art. She lives in Downtown LA, has gotten to know a few of the artists and where to find some of the more amazing stuff. On my last night in town, she and my Uncle Jim took me to The Container Yard. Essentially, a guy bought a large warehouse complex that already had some significant pieces in order to preserve the space. He (and curator Vyal invite artists to come and do their work.
A lot of the walls rotate over the months, they also bring in shipping containers to paint on for other locations. Currently, their open-houses are rare. I felt lucky to get to walk through it and see everything. These few photos don't do it justice.
