“Photographs Modified by Bacteria”
The images were created using a novel technique that I have been experimenting with. It uses bacteria to manipulate analog film in order to produce truly unique photographs, that are then digitized.
Organic structures from bacteria takes over the emulsion of the film material. Detailed patterns created by the bacteria emerge until all the film emulsion’s organic material is fully metabolized, erasing the original image. The digitization process is complex, alowing large print sizes and high-def details of up to 260 megapixels.
