New notes on "WaveScaping 2.0" series and categorizing plus more on production - Please Read. It will be fun:
WaveScaping 2.0 is my own series of "runs" that skip around and have nothing in common with other parts of the tracks. They are like mixes but "Short control bursts" of what I can do that do not fall into my other categories such as "Toxxik" which covers horror and "Intro To My Design" which are songs made with my new processes and finalizing for how I will make future albums/Playlists.
1.0 was made up a long time ago out though finished with songs I created in the past so it wasn't really something new besides the intro. I've jumped on and off of 2.0, honestly because of peer pressure on needing to make something striking, competing, different than usual sounding art. A lot of it was pressure from myself while trying to keep my mind up to making better things and keeping that state of mind that "I am well known and I can't @#$% up" even though in the back of my mind this wasn't true. Some lies to yourself can keep you going. Much was put off from listening to other artists' opinions on social media, putting it down cause none of it is a full complete track or was sounding much different than what they are using to hearing and making.
I feel like a puffer fish after all of this. I tell myself all sorts of things and fight against others to eventually reach a point of self satisfaction and achievement from them having second thoughts on my work.
I feel that I really put limits on myself such as making usable EDM pieces, orchestral, and everything but my classic work and things that I can make money off of. I am not interested in making to those formats, just the sounds to tell stories in ambiance or make up my own dancy style. I work to perfect the little and interesting touches like using lower bit static recordings to make bird chirps for when I need samples that is a hit and miss to get while camping. I figured out how to turn the most distorted things into vast and detailed ambient noise using Harmor and layering over ten filters and effects. What is cool is that the harder the distortion the better it can sound when it is all over and I teach this the people. My limits are my money making fall outs and I want to be in a position where I can make the money I wish to have without having to make something that does not define me as a creative unique person. I would love to do things for film and I have been out and about trying to get my noise, not music, into these productions. It would have to be a special kind of project to include my music and I do not like to make to order even though that is what people want in the music/movie industry so I just don't make "Made to order" songs besides ambient. It is because of my personal limits and view on the music subject. I might just stay like this forever and you who are reading this is probably a movie maker or producer or other artist that think otherwise or that I am lazy, not creative, not innovative. I like what I do, how I do things, what I tell myself to keep going but I don't want me as a self-held-back-person keep you from using my talents, sound, and music. I am not willing to change for the industry. I want to be different and known for different. I do not want my work to sound like everyone else in the electronic music world. There is that rarity of someone coming to me on making a short on what they see and imagine from my tracks that I am 100% all for even if that is not what I pick up from my own work, rare though I hope it happens often. Just an idea. Ambient is different, I can make that to order. I am just trying to say that your movie or game would depend on my music for timing and story based off of my formats. If I had the processing power to make my own 3D animated videos covering the stories of my songs I would be on it, I just don't have the GPUs. Just the know howish, time and scripts.
