Today while driving home, the car in front of me hit a cat. Its legs were crushed and as our car stopped the cat twisted in agony, running in circles with hind legs dragging. It died in my mother's arms. The terror on the cat's face was a human terror. The car in front of ours didn't stop.
Arriving home, my relationship of three years ended.
Today belongs to death.
I wrote this song to remember love. To defy death. I am not the cat, this is for tomorrow.
