My #Artbreaks are happening more frequently. Without even planning it. I go into a meeting and just start scribbling. I visit the library for a chitchat, then as if on auto-pilot, I grab Wes' markers.
I have nothing but gratitude. This one is the happiest person I've drawn–making me realize that most of the portraits I do look sombre.
Some things just happen without our control. And it's not just some things. It's most things. And it's okay. We have been rewired to control other people's perception of us through social media, we have curated our lives to look feed-worthy. And that's okay too... if that's your thing. But then make sure you're not lying to yourself. Be honest and transparent with what you're going through–especially to yourself. Admit that you're not okay. Have an inner circle you can share your pains with.
We are not meant to do life alone. Reach out. It's always, always better together. #GentleReminders
