Back in Tokyo from a really deep travel into one of the most spiritual parts of Japan during this Oshougatsu season. I was really impressed by the sumptuousness of Ise Jingu, so important that they just call it "jingu" , THE Shrine,
But, to say the truth, one of the most beautiful experiences of this trip was the shinto cerimony in the middle of the mountains of the Kii peninsula. Almost no one was around apart from the priests dressed up with cerimonial clothing and a couple of bystanders. It really felt authentic and special.
