Jenifer Kent received her BFA from Rutgers University, and MFA from Mills College. She lives in N.California and has exhibited there at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, The Lab, the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art and more. Recently, Jenifer’s work was selected for inclusion in the West Marin Journal, New American Paintings and the Drawing Discourse Exhibition of Contemporary Drawing. She illustrated Thich Nhat Hanh’s Moments of Mindfulness and has been an AIR at Kala Art Institute and the Lucid Arts Foundation. Her work is in the Alameda County Arts Collection as well as many private collections. She is represented in SFby the Dolby Chadwick Gallery.

Dorothy Hoover is an LA-based artist and set designer.
Her work is preoccupied with corporeal presence, whether directly with actor’s bodies or by creating an allusion or void with objects. These presences/absences are talismans of ghosts. Steeped in an obsession with noir and the myths of Hollywood, the American West and California as Utopia, each work is a short story about loners, outsiders, and kooks with an intense awareness of human loneliness.

They say the best camera is the one you have with you. Like most people, I have one at all times. Sometimes I'll just leave my phone at home and enjoy an untethered walk to the store. Inevitably, those are the walks which feature a dead animal, a pack of nuns, or an armageddon-worthy storm cloud, and I curse my foolish choice and my old-timey need for detachment.
I love taking pictures because I have a miserable memory. Being able to record an image of a path I walked, or a sky I drove beneath allows me to relive a moment otherwise forgotten. More than that, a picture makes real a crow taking flight, or a pile of beautiful trash. In response to the scientif
