This is a quick graph of today's #cpi release.
* Core inflation was 0.1% (seasonally adjusted)
* Raw inflation was -0.7%
The raw inflation graph looks scary (that's the gray line), but that’s largely because oil prices fell. Core inflation is way too low, though, and has been for a while (core inflation is the black line). "A while" basically means "since the recession."
