Street Tog report: This is a special view of AC that shows a drastic contrast of the residential sections of the regular folks compared to the brilliance of the casinos next to it. You can also see the brilliance of the residents in the background of the further communities. Hurricane Sandy destroyed many of the homes that you see lit up in the foreground and were nicely rebuilt. If you know your AC history or have done some homework then you would know that at one point AC was only the beach and boardwalk. It was a relatively slow and quiet town and a great place to bring your family for the day or weekend. Then the powers that be decided to bring in legalized gambling and people were (ahhm) asked to sell their homes and properties to make way for this new industry that was to bring in so many new jobs to AC. There are some that believe that the promise of "rising tides didn't lift up all boats." We still have the well to do sections and the poorer sections and what seems to be "Red Light" area of some sort. It appears that most who go to AC now go to the casinos more so than the beach. However, now a number of the casinos are closing. AC is still a great place to visit and bring your family for a day or a weekend.
