My TEDx talk about Gratitude, Gifting & Grandpa is occasionally shown to High School kids. This blows my mind. Usually it is because the teacher knows me, but I have also heard from a parent who's kid came home talking about "crap or cone."
A teacher sent me a video that a student recorded - in response to my talk. The volume is low and it is hard to hear her words. But I find myself aching as I watch. I remember so much of the pain of that chapter. I love this young person. I want to hug her for an hour.
And then I notice that she heard me loud and clear. This young person is a bright, brilliant light...a blossoming gift to the world...and I feel like I am the one who is most touched by this digital connection. What an honor.
