Frightening Tales of the Ouija
The Ouija Board has been the center of controversy for many years, ever since the board came into being
there has been questions of whether or not the Ouija was real and if someone could really contact the dead.
Many believe the Ouija to be nothing more than a toy, a game. Others believe that it is a portal in which to contact
spirits and demons. They believe it to be a tool of the occult, or more to the point, the devil.
There have been many stories passed around by people who say they have used the Ouija and some very terrifying
experiences. Some people said that they have had positive experiences. Regardless as to what type of experience you
have had with the Ouija, the Ouija is not a toy and should be taken very seriously. These stories or experiences have
inspired a number of horror movies.
When I was young my mom found a Ouija board inside a closet in an old house that we had moved into. She started
to use the board and strange things began happening in the house. There were strange noises, voices and even apparitions.
I was on the back porch one evening and saw a man walk into the pack house that was behind the house. Thinking it
was my cousin I walked out to the pack house to see what he was doing. When I got out there no one was there. I got
cold chills down my spine.
One day my brother, who had been playing upstairs in the pack house (we had made it our playhouse) came running
into the house, face extremely pale and sobbing. He said he was sitting on the little ledge at the top of the stairs and
something pushed him off. We had put an old mattress down below the ledge a few days earlier because we had been
jumping out of the top of the pack house. If not for the mattress my brother who was six at the time, would probably have
gotten seriously hurt.
One night we were sitting at the kitchen table and something slammed hard in the loft of the house. It slammed so
hard that it shook the entire house and cracked the wall in the living room. The wall was made of sheetrock and a huge
crack ran from the ceiling to the floor. We ran outside to see if a limb or something had fallen on the top of the house.
There was nothing. That night we all slept in the same room. The next morning my cousin and I climbed into the loft with
flashlights to have a look but found nothing up there. All the braces were intact, no cracks, nothing. The loft was void of
anything or any kind of debris. There was no explanation for what had happened. My mom took the Ouija board and threw
it in the fire, but it wouldn’t burn so she had my cousin take it outside and chop it up with an axe. I don’t know what she
did with it after that, but she got it away from the house, but we continued to experience strange things right on until we
moved.
My sister started using the Ouija and totally got drawn into it. My son said she would hear the board calling to her and
she would get up in the middle of the night to use it. One evening my son was over at my mom’s house playing with the
board and he said the board told them that they would get bad news at six p.m. At a few minutes before six o’clock him,
my mom, and my sister and two of my small nieces saw a huge ball of fire come up from beneath the river bridge and
totally engulf the bridge. My son said that he and my sister ran to the bridge to see what happened but found nothing when
they got there. After they got back to the house the phone rang and it was a friend of my sons telling him that another friend
of theirs had just gotten killed. He said he asked what happened and his friend said that the girl got in a wreck taking her
brother to the hospital, because he was having an asthma attack. His friend said the girl was traveling at speeds of 120 mph
when she hit a light pole and the vehicle exploded, killing them both instantly.
My son and his wife were playing with the Ouija one night and they swear that he conjured a demon and it took possession
of him. His wife said that he went completely crazy in the house and put his fist through the coffee table. They said after that
night they had all types of strange things happening in the house. My son took the board out of the house, but the hauntings
continued so he burnt it.
These types of stories are told all over the U.S. by people that have used the Ouija board. In some of the accounts the
hauntings stop after getting rid of the board or after they stop using it while others continue to experience the phenomena.
I never use the Ouija. I am afraid of it. The Ouija is not a toy and anyone using the Ouija is opening themselves up for possession
or torment. I’ve read some accounts where people say they were helped or saved, well at first the Ouija may seem friendly and
helpful, but that’s just a ruse to draw you in. To get you hooked. If you use the Ouija, be careful. The more you become hooked
the easier it is for demons to gain control. The Ouija is deceptive. It is sold in stores as a harmless toy, a game. Maybe that’s just
what evil wants you to think.
