Shaina lives and works in Chicago, IL. She graduated with an MFA from The New York Academy of Art in 2015 and a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2011. Shaina creates figurative oil paintings and works on paper that explore contemporary and classical techniques.
Shaina's painting "Wonder" was recently on view at the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art for their inaugural exhibition. She exhibited in a group show of drawings at Lacey & Phillips Gallery curated by InLiquid in early 2017. Her work has been recognized by publications such as Juxtapoz, Curve Magazine, High Fructose, and Blisss Magazine.

Contemporary artist Sarah Stieber’s style of Electric Realism is a stunning amplification of real life, using a bejeweled palette of brilliant hues and evocative energy to explore a spirited reality. A spectacle of saturated colors, her paintings are a kaleidoscope to her world of wishful seeing, magnifying the human experience with dazzling color too often hidden in plain sight.
Stieber created the centerpiece paintings for Courtyard Marriott San Diego and Springhill Suites by Marriott in Oceanside. Her artwork was spotlighted at the “San Diego Dreaming” exhibition at the Oceanside Museum of Art and she was featured during Art Basel at Spectrum Miami in 201

I am Maryam Gohar (a pseudo name I have made up of my real name “Maryam” and my Grandma’s “Gohar” (means gem) who was the very first unorthodox feminist I knew). I am a female artist currently residing in Iran. For many years I have been working as a children's book illustrator while having this more feminine and sensual part of my artistic-self hidden from the world. Being a woman artist in Iran and the nature of my works combined, made it harder to work in larger scales and I started with sketchbook pieces first. This enabled me to work on subjects near to my heart with less fear of exposure.
