At ello, there is no Direct Messaging {DM}. The way to communicate privately is to use the Collaborate Button. Activating this feature in Settings will allow you to receive and respond to another member of ello via email.
About posting or viewing adult materials- While there is no Censorship at ello, there are guidelines, which can be found in "Help". Ello implicitly bans Hate Speech of any kind, Threats to others, and Violence against children and animals. For more information, see "Policies"/ "Community Policies" in the Help section.
