Chapter five elaborates on how creative people function. Creative individuals take preexisting knowledge and alter it with new ideas. They are filled with curiosity that drives them to create innovative and interesting designs and artworks. In order to accomplish their goals and projects they must be efficient with their time; it’s important to prioritize, think long term, and avoid procrastination.
Chapter seven mentions the basic principles and elements of art and how these concepts can create a successful composition. Another important step in improving artistic skills in knowing how to effectively participate in critiques. Chapter seven discusses the different types of critiques that exist today: descriptive critique, cause-and-effect critique, and compare/contrast critique.
