I'm an illustrator from the periphery of Russia, specializing in digital painting and illustration. I want to present artworks of personal project exploring the position of artists limited by the conditions of existence in a small town. I was looking for answers to my questions through other people.
The periphery is almost invisible for the center. As if it does not exist. But by changing the angle of view, you will see that the last house is reflected in the river. Indoors you can notice movement. Monotonous. Sluggish. Creeping.
Cultural deprivation gives rise to peripheral aesthetics. Translucent. Ephemeral. On the outskirts. Wasteland with wild growing. Detect them.
They create, in spite of everything. In spite of the indifference of the surrounding space and the conventions of monetary units. They fight, tear, wither. Disappointment as a possible starting point.
