#Ello again fellow creatives! I am certain that just like me, you have your share of struggles in this creative journey. Today, I would like to share one breakthrough and hopefully inspire you to keep pressing on.
A few of you know that since the beginning of my foray into photography, which is about 4 years ago, I have been editing in a laptop that was simply not meant for the task. It was only bought for word processing during my college thesis days. To share more, it does not have a dedicated graphics card and the monitor could not be calibrated accurately for some reason.
While I had several nightmares using it, my old faithful served me really, really well. In fact, all of my recognized work has been processed in it. As you see, I have not allowed my lack of arsenal limit or define me. I strived and made whatever I had work for me, my hope is that you do so yourself.
So here's the good news.
My pilot friend, who came from humble beginnings himself, just gave the best possible terms for his top class 15" MacBook Pro (Early 2013). He is very much aware of my struggles in the pursuit of photography and when he offered it to me almost to the point of giving it away, I shed a tear. During that moment, I could not believe that I would actually be able to own a powerhouse of a machine this early in my life.
My friend went on to say that it is his way of throwing support because I have continually persisted against all odds, all in the name of the craft I love so much.
I am really excited to re-edit my 4 years worth of work starting this week. However, the best part about this new machine is that it is powerful enough to unlock the creative gates to learning Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects which were all impossible to run in my old laptop. I have always wanted to learn and create with those applications for the longest time!
I hope that this testimony has inspired you to continue putting in the work and remaining humble, kind and grateful all the while.
To close this post, I would like to share that my next goal is to eliminate my current title as a camera-less photographer.
