Of all the things, that seem worthwhile, is the choice I get to make everyday.
I get to choose to be Love. I have the opportunity to look for the best in people, without label or judgement about what they are projecting to me. I get to make the decision to see beauty, because it is the choice.
I could submit to the voice, constant within us, that leads me to draw an opinion. The place in our mind that is critical of the world, and its messages, and try's to steer me to protect. The place that wants to find a moral high ground, by elevating my way of seeing the world above another.
When I choose to be love, I choose to be able to help, because I find within compassion. I leave being callous, and allow myself a place to feel the emotional context of another. I know it is theirs to manage, but If my encouraging brings them to a place of harmony, then we all feel better.
I get this choice every day. I can look for a world that works, or I can submit to the world we pass back and forth as our limit. I don't blind myself to the truth of our condition, but I observe respectfully the frustration we are exhibiting. From this place, I am able to offer what ever might make things improve.
Its not from a place of superiority, or from a place of ignorance to the ways of our species, but a firmament to our potential. I know that from this place of love, of being sensitive and aware of our fellow humans, I have brief opportunities to participate in a world we would like to live in, as opposed to a world we survive on a daily basis.
This is the value of a life. We are the only living thing on this planet addicted to attacking each other, but this is learned behavior, and it is completely adjustable. When I choose to be love in each day, I get to make my small contribution to a world desperate for healing and mutual respect.
I love you-
