HOUSE Gallery No. 0020 - When canvasing furniture options for new projects, I always aim to select a few pieces that have a strong character presence, setting the tone for the interior décor language. These character traits can be in the shape of the way a furniture piece displays a certain material, finish, form, artisanal artistry & sculptural narrative, all togethter strengthening the potency of its design value. Here a chandelier in bent glass arranged in balanced rhythmic intervals & a throne like lounge chair evocative of a noble chess piece by the way of its solid structure & stance. However different, they both share modern gestural lines that connect their juxtaposing styles together, that can be further accentuated by artfully arranging them around more subdued tailored furnishings to complete the look . . . Checkmate.
