My name is Yimiao Liu, I was born in Hunan province in China and currently live and work in Los Angeles, California. I obtained MFA in illustration in 2018 from California State University, Long Beach.
As an illustrator, I most often combine traditional media with digital techniques to create highly complex seek-and-find type drawings. I also work in various other media and techniques to achieve the desired works. When I am not drawing, I immerse myself in books about mythology and the suspense of thriller movies, these in turn are reflected in the quirkiness of the imaginary worlds that I create.
