Yesterday afternoon I found myself sitting in The Creamery (the unlikely epicenter of SF startups), sketching out some character thumbnails, listening in all the conversations around me. The more I heard the more it kept tugging at my attention and it struck me as extremely odd how many business ideas, pitches, and tech jargon I was floating in. It was all I heard. It was optimism x100. Everyone was talking like they had the next big thing or were destined for CEO-hood or were in the middle of an amazing job interview. It was a tad surreal but somewhat familiar. And then I realized how much it reminded me of David Cross' "Making it in LA" sketch. Just substitute Hollywood with Tech Industry.
