The interest in natural sciences as well as the reproduction of natural phenomena in the virtual environment has always been the driving force in my development. For me everything revolves around dissolving the real world into its observable attributes and to subsequently rearrange them in a more abstract domain. Simulated, but still authentic, calculated with mathematical equations and yet aesthetically staged.

Superfried is the studio alias of self-taught designer, Mark Richardson. Originally founded in a London bedroom in 2007, Superfried is now based in the centre of Manchester. Specialising in brand identity and experimental typography, I design bespoke print and digital solutions across all sectors. My clients are equally varied in both scale and location, from start-ups in Russia to global brands in New York.
When required I collaborate with trusted specialists to ensure client expectations, analogue or digital, are met and surpassed. This enables Superfried to efficiently deliver complex projects usually expected of much larger studios.
Sawdust is the creative partnership of Jonathan Quainton and Rob Gonzalez. We specialise in bespoke and innovative typography, brand display typefaces, visual identities and image-creation for clients including;
Nike • Wired • The New York Times • Apple • Converse • Adidas • Coca-Cola • Dolby • Audi • Fast Company • Bleep • IBM • It’s Nice That • Creative Review • National Geographic • TfL
At the heart of what we do is a desire to create work that is both explorative and beautifully crafted. Above all else we retain a deeply rooted conviction to not only deliver design that is effective but that exceeds our client’s expectations.
